Special thanks to our Coffee, Pastries and Lunch Sponsors: PBI Gordon, Inc., St. Croix Recreation Fun Playgrounds, Midwest Groundcover Express Blower Service, Pioneer Athletics, Portolite Products as well as all of our other sponsors who were on hand with tabletop displays. Carter is responsible for identifying and managing issues related to emerging structural changes within collegiate athletics for the University of Minnesota. These responsibilities include managing the University’s Name, Image and Likeness activities, aadherence to University Policies, and governance. His talk about the NIL was very interesting as were a lot of the answers to questions from attendees. Ellie Sammon, Canopy Business Law, focused on material designed specifically for parks, municipal, and school employees, this seminar walks through the estate planning issues that matter most, like last wills, pensions, beneficiary designations, and making sure your family is protected. It was a practical, easy-to-understand discussion focused on real-life questions without the legal jargon. Troy Carson, The Toro Company, spoke about new technologies in irrigation. Paul Miskimen, City of Lakeville, and Ben Boeding, Reinders, Inc., gave a presentation that noted that new technologies are not always the easy button.
